Residential Lawn Mowing Terms & Conditions

Mowing Details

Yardworx provides mulched mowing only. Mulching your grass clippings back into the lawn is beneficial for a few reasons. First, it can help to suppress weed growth by blocking out sunlight that weeds need to grow. Mulching also helps to retain moisture in the soil, which can be especially beneficial during hot, dry weather. Additionally, grass clippings contain valuable nutrients that can help to fertilize the lawn naturally, promoting healthy grass growth. Overall, mulching is a simple and effective way to promote a healthy, vibrant lawn. Each week we will mow all turf areas, trim around all objects and structures and then all hard surfaces will be blown off of any grass clippings or debris. If mechanical hard edging is requested this service will be done by a separate crew, normally once a month.

Mowing will take place the same day each week unless there is a weather delay. Grass height will be maintained at 3.25” - 3.75” decided by the contractor for best turf health and appearance. Proper mowing techniques will be used to ensure turf quality and provide the best level of cut along with changing the cut direction weekly except in small, confined areas. If clumping of grass takes place an additional cut will be done to disperse the grass evenly. Our in house mechanic services our equipment 3 times a week to ensure blades are sharp to eliminate any tearing of the grass blades as well as eliminating the spread of turf disease.

Mowing Damage Disclaimer

Yardworx team members do their best to check for debris and other objects that may cause or be damaged before each service. However, Yardworx is not responsible financially or otherwise for any repairs or damage for items that we were not aware of, including items that were not removed beforehand by the customer.

The customer agrees it is their responsibility to ensure that the service area is cleared of debris or other objects prior to Yardworx employees rendering services. These items include any object(s) partially or completely exposed such as sprinkler heads, downspouts that do not maintain at least a four-inch clearance of turf areas, hoses, toys, dog leashes, ornaments, decorations, recessed downspout emitters, and invisible dog fences. This also includes unmarked or shallow wires, pipes, or cables such as internet providers, utility companies, telephone, irrigation systems, or landscaping lighting systems, regardless of if provided by a secondary source or not. Customer also agrees to clean the lawn of all dog droppings. If this is not done the service could be skipped for this property.

Grass that is planted or grown too close / touching any object such as a mailbox, fence post, siding, or any other structure, may be accidentally damaged when trimming or cutting. This is something that is often unavoidable. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all turf is at least 6” back from the area that it’s touching or adding a layer of protection to the surface area of the object.

It is often unavoidable to cause some damage when mowing wet grass, we should not be held responsible for turf damage due to the lawn being too wet at the time of service. We ask that you do not water your lawn the day before or day of your scheduled service. We understand there will be times that rain will be the cause of this and in that case employees are trained on different techniques to limit any damage that includes 3-point turns, in some cases areas may need to be skipped. If the customer feels the lawn is too wet to cut, they have the right to request it to be skipped and we'll be back next week. If our mowers create any mud stains/ruts due to the lawn being wet the crew foreman will apply seed to the area at the end of the service to promote new growth. 99% of mud stains/ruts are superficial and the areas will come back quickly, usually after the next rain.

Fertilizing Terms & Conditions

Fertilizer Package Details

Yardworx Lawn and Landscape is dedicated to using the finest fertilizers available. Our Commercial and Residential program consists of 6-Steps. Each step is applied 4-6 weeks apart and targets a lawn's specific need throughout the year. Weed control takes place during each fertilizer application by spot spraying any visible weeds in the turf area only; this does not include landscape beds. Some customers may need a 2-Step Broadleaf Blanket Application for better control. Below are the details of our 6-Step Premium Fertilizer Program.

Lawn Fertilizer Service Disclaimer

For the program to be successful it's important that the customer waters the turf areas appropriately throughout the year as well as after each application is applied. While our licensed technician is on site, he will let you know if he thinks there are issues that need to be addressed. We believe watering less days a week with deeper soakings is best for lawns. Irrigation systems should run no more than 3 days a week at 30min per zone, preferably in the early AM hours, completed by 9am to prevent disease. This watering technique helps promote deeper root growth which is greatly beneficial to having a healthy, lush, and greener lawn.
